Special Task: Type Design & Communication

With the knowledge and experience gained in the Exercises, Task 1 to Task 3, we were required to express typographically a social message or greeting that is relevant to the campus community at Taylor’s University or society at large.

Idea Exploration

In this special task, we may use minor graphical elements or visuals to aid in our message and design. The format is 512 px x 512px @72dpi and we may use the appropriate colour

schemes after getting the black and white version approved. The festival I chose is Happy Birthday which I think I will use often to wish my family and friends. The idea below is to express the font as a balloon and replace the "H" with a dog balloon and the "i" with a candle while adding the logo of Taylor's University by replacing the "T".

Then, I researched some lettering color palettes on Pinterest during the coloring process. Below is the palette I used for the Happy Birthday sticker. After that, I went to Youtube to learn how to create a white border for my sticker.
